How is Annual Salary Calculated?
To find your yearly salary from an hourly wage, multiply your hourly rate by the number of hours you work each week, then multiply that result by the total number of weeks you work in a year.
Formula: Annual Salary = Hourly Wage × Hours Per Week × Weeks Per Year
Example Calculation:
Earning ₹200 per hour, working 48 hours per week for 52 weeks:
200 × 48 × 52 = ₹4,99,200 per year — ₹41,600 per month — ₹9,600 per week.
If you take unpaid leave, reduce your weeks accordingly — for 2 weeks unpaid, use 50 weeks instead of 52.
