Why Use?
How is Hourly Rate Calculated from Annual Salary?
To find your hourly rate, divide your total annual salary by the number of hours you work in a year. You can calculate your annual hours by multiplying your weekly hours by the number of weeks you work per year.
Formula : Hourly Rate = Annual Salary ÷ (Hours Per Week × Weeks Per Year)
Example : Annual salary of ₹6,00,000, working 48 hours/week for 52 weeks:
6,00,000 ÷ (48 × 52) = ₹240.38 per hour
From Monthly Salary:
Hourly Rate = (Monthly Salary × 12) ÷ (Hours Per Week × Weeks Per Year)
Example : ₹40,000/month, 48 hrs/week, 52 weeks = (40,000 × 12) ÷ (48 × 52) = ₹192.31 per hour
From Weekly Pay:
Hourly Rate = Weekly Pay ÷ Hours Per Week
Example : ₹12,000/week, 48 hrs/week = 12,000 ÷ 48 = ₹250 per hour
